The
Firm
Lawrence Heller,
the principal and supervising attorney of the firm, is a New York native who
has practiced law in Rochester, NY for over 25 years.
He is a graduate
of prestigious Cornell University (1969) and Duke University School of Law (June
1973). A member of the New York, Monroe County, and American Bar
Associations he is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social
Security Disability Representatives and a founder of LTD-Esq. Organization for
specialists of Long Term Disability Law.
Over the years
his broad based general practice has evolved into a specialty disability
practice. Assisted by three expert paralegals, the practice at any time is
actually representing in excess of 400 Social Security Disability (SSD) and
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claimants, and 50 Long Term Disability (LTD)
and Short Term Disability (STD) claimants.
The firm
practices at each administrative level and also represents claimants in US
District Court and Supreme Court Appellate Division.
Many of the
firm's clients are referrals from other Upstate New York law firms or medical
practitioners.
The firm does
not represent Workers Compensation, ADA, personal injury, bankruptcy, or
employment litigants but Mr. Heller is always pleased to speak to individuals
with problems in those areas and refers appropriate matters to competent
Rochester area counsel without charge to
claimant.
